It is probably time to reflect on the year 2013.
Science-wise it was an extremely productive year despite a few moments of stress. Most importantly I am very glad to have met many great new people.
Most astronomers are in the asymptotic part of the happiness curve. I am complaining all the time but I should not. Compared to those who are really suffering, my complaints are probably insignificant. I know where I will sleep and I can heat my apartment; I buy the food I want, the clothes I fancy; I can travel easily. Next year, I should get involve in helping those in real needs.
I am looking forward for my New Year party in Berlin. I am impatient to be back to Grenoble to see my old and new friends and colleagues. I am sure there will be wonderful science next year.
